I fell in love with the logistics industry from my first introduction

After beginning my career as an import & export clerk, for LEP / Geo-Logistics, a well-known logistics company, I was asked to join DCS, a software development company which specialised in the development of logistics software. As a consultant my responsibilities included business and systems training, application support, business analysis, deployment and project management. I also worked with the experienced sales teams and provided sales support for new contract negotiations.

I next began working for global logistics company UTi Worldwide, where I managed a team who provided all aspects of application support and deployment of our operational and finance systems across Europe before next overseeing all IT support in Europe and handling strategic integration from regional IT departments to a global IT structure. In 2011, I was asked to join the enterprise team at UTi's IT headquarters in Portland, Oregon as part of a project to build its own freight forwarding application and organisation to support. This included implementing best practices and processes, standardising documentation and tools and eventually becoming responsible for the continual management of the development lifecycle.

In my approach to business, I strongly believe in treating people as I would expect to be treated, by being honest, professional and conscientious at all times. I love to work hard and I enjoy what I do.I love to work hard and I enjoy what I do. I relish working in challenging and fast-paced environments. I have excellent communication and organisational skills, along with problem solving and lateral abilities.

I'd like to express my appreciation of the outstanding job done by Stacey Foo in Asia the past two weeks. Stacey remained patient and in control under less than optimum conditions at times. While in Shanghai she did an exceptional job of training 12-15 people, mostly on her own.

She is to be commended for her knowledge in the system and the Freight Forwarding Industry. She was very flexible and worked after hours on her own time to prepare documentation to assist in the training. Stacey was able to overcome the language barrier which we felt would impact the success of this training. By the users' own judgement they feel they are nearly 90% ready to go live after one week of training…that is no small accomplishment.
